Dr. Pooja Singh is the Head of the Department of Economics at CSJM University, Kanpur, and currently serves as Assistant Professor under the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. With over 11 years of academic experience, she is known for her interdisciplinary approach and dynamic teaching methods.

Her teaching interests include Managerial Economics, Economic Analysis and Policy, Microeconomics, Farm Business Management, Principles of Management, and Organizational Behavior. She has authored several research papers published in reputed national and international journals.

Dr. Singh's research interests lie in Applied Economics, Business Economics, Managerial Economics, and Human Resource Management, and she actively contributes to both academic and professional communities.

Dr. Sharad Dixit

  Assistant Professor, Department of Economics

Dr. Sharad Dixit is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at CSJM University, Kanpur. He is a seasoned academician and economist with a broad range of expertise, including Microeconomics, Public Finance, Agricultural Economics, Economic Growth & Development, and Trends in Education.

With over a decade of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Dixit is known for his strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and effective academic engagement. He has worked with several reputed educational institutions and collaborated with key government organizations such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

He has published more than 20 research papers in reputed international journals and has received several awards from global organizations in recognition of his contribution to the fields of education and research. Beyond academia, Dr. Dixit is actively involved in social outreach and community service through his association with various NGOs.

Dr. Niyati Padhi

  Assistant Professor, Department of Economics

Qualification: Ph.D. in Economics (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi)

Dr. Niyati Padhi is a distinguished developmental economist with over 25 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She earned her Ph.D. from the School of Social Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at CSJM University, Kanpur.

Her academic interests center around socio-economic challenges such as urban poverty, unemployment, and the dynamics of social inequality. A specialist in primary data analysis, Dr. Padhi's notable work on the impact of reservation policies on socially backward women in the teaching profession highlights key gaps in policy implementation and offers constructive recommendations for reform.

She has taught a wide range of courses, with a particular focus on Engineering Economics and Indian Economic Problems and Policies.

Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta

Assistant Professor, Department of Economics

(Doctorate: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow | Postgraduate: University of Lucknow)

Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at CSJM University, Kanpur. He holds a Ph.D. from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Lucknow.

He has authored 5 research papers, 1 book, and contributed 3 chapters to various edited volumes published by national and international publishers. Dr. Gupta previously served as a subject expert at Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma Institute of Democracy, University of Lucknow, for three years.

Currently, he also serves as an academic counselor for postgraduate economics students at IGNOU and has delivered expert lectures for pre-Ph.D. scholars at Lal Bahadur Shastri PG College, Gonda (a nodal center of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya).
