B.A. (Hons) in Economics (3 Years)
This undergraduate program builds critical and strategic thinking through core economic principles. It explores the economic aspects of social, political, environmental, and global issues, preparing students for a wide range of careers in public and private sectors.
M.A. in Economics (2 Years)
A rigorous postgraduate program focusing on advanced economic theory, quantitative techniques, and policy analysis. Graduates are well-equipped for careers in academia, research, finance, government, and international organizations.
Ph.D. in Economics
The doctoral program emphasizes original research and scholarly contribution in economics. With strong academic mentorship, it prepares candidates for advanced roles in research, teaching, policymaking, and consultancy at national and international levels.

B.A. (Hons) Economics
The Department offers a 3-year undergraduate program in Economics with expert faculty and a globally-aligned curriculum. It equips students with analytical and theoretical tools to understand economic systems and behavior. The program includes flexible electives relevant to careers in academia, law, management, journalism, government, finance, and data analysis.
- Eligibility: 10+2 (any stream, preferably with Mathematics), minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Her teaching and research interests include Managerial and Applied Economics, Economic Policy, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Behaviour. She has published widely in reputed national and international journals.

Dr. Sharad Dixit

Dr. Sharad Dixit is an experienced academician with over a decade of teaching and research in Microeconomics, Public Finance, Agricultural Economics, and Economic Development. He has collaborated with esteemed institutions like the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and NABARD, and has published over 20 research papers in reputed international journals. Dr. Dixit has been recognized with several awards for his academic contributions and actively participates in social outreach through various NGOs.

Dr. Niyati Padhi

Dr. Niyati Padhi is a seasoned developmental economist with over 25 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She holds a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her expertise includes urban poverty, unemployment, and socio-economic policy analysis, with a strong focus on primary data research. Her notable study on reservation policies for socially backward women highlights gaps in policy implementation. She has taught courses in Engineering Economics and Indian Economic Problems and Policies.

Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta

Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta earned his Ph.D. from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, and completed his master’s degree from the University of Lucknow. He has published 5 research papers, authored 1 book, and contributed 3 chapters in national and international publications. He served as a subject expert at Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma Institute of Democracy, University of Lucknow, for 3 years and currently mentors PG students as an academic counselor at IGNOU. He has also delivered guest lectures for pre-Ph.D. scholars.
